Pastore Sardo Thermoformed portions

Table and/or roasting cheese with a smooth brown leather rind, made from raw milk; light straw-yellow color, supple and sparse eyes. Soft cheese made from selected milk with a sweet and delicate taste, and an intense and characteristic aroma. A CAO Quality product subject to various imitations.

Origins

Pastore sardo is the creation of CAO Formaggi's philosophy. This Pecorino is the synthesis of our quality production. It represents the authenticity of Sardinia and the island's cheese culture throughout the world.

Aging

Minimum 30 days.

Storage

Vacuum packed. Best if stored at a temperature between +4°/+8° C.

Food pairings

We suggest to accompany with bread or traditional carasau bread; to enhance the flavor, pair with typical red wines from Sardinia.

Tasting and cut

Ideal alone or to begin or end a meal. Great on the grill or to accompany savory dishes.
Best to cut using a knife with a thin sharp blade (25 cm).
