Pastore Sardo Gran Riserva

Table and/or grating cheese, smooth rind, made from semi-cooked milk, compact with tiny eyes, white tending to straw yellow with aging. Semi-hard, savory and tasty cheese in the first months, a stronger and more intense and spicy flavor with aging.

Origins

Pastore sardo is the creation of CAO Formaggi's philosophy. This Pecorino is the synthesis of our quality production. It represents the authenticity of Sardinia and the island's cheese culture throughout the world.

Aging

Minimum 90 days.

Storage

Vacuum packed. Best if stored at a temperature between +4°/+8° C.

Food pairings

Pair with soft, full-body red wines; delicious with blueberry compote.

Tasting and cut

At the beginning or end of a meal or as an appetizer or with an Sardinia. Ideal ingredient to prepare savory dishes.
Suggest to cut using a knife with a rigid blade (30 cm).
